ABOUT LUC

I wasn't born knowing what I wanted to do in life. After spending most of my 20's as a professional tree planter, backpacker, fruit picker, and English teacher, I randomly watched the documentary War Photographer and it changed my life forever.

After finally finding something I wanted to dedicated my life to, I withdrew my application from graduate school and cashed in my life savings in order to start travelling through Asia as I built my first documentary photography portfolio.

After five years of shooting for international newspapers, I began to transition away from stills and into documentary cinematography. relocating to Mexico, I spent another four years documenting drug cartels, immigration crises, and environmental issues.

Now, over a decade since I first set out on this journey, I've returned to my native Canada where I still work as a full time cinematographer and director. And even after all this time, there's still nothing else out here I'd rather be doing with my life.

I'm always striving to be the best teacher I can be, so if you have any suggestions about how I can improve or expand the course to be more valuable to you, please don't hesitate to reach out.
